Luxury, Held Honestly
Most luxury bathrobes sold in India are imported, priced above ₹5,000, and not always built for the Indian climate. We thought a properly made luxury bathrobe should be made here, for the year as it actually is, and held at a price that does not depend on import duty. The Antimony bathrobe is the answer to that small problem, hotel-grade waffle, premium cotton, cut and finished in India, ₹1,499.
The Standard
We measured the robes at the Aman, the Oberoi, the Taj Falaknuma, the Leela, the Six Senses. We compared the depth of their shawl collars, the width of their pockets, the length of their belts. The Antimony bathrobe was drawn from that quiet research and adjusted to fit a woman's frame more precisely. It belongs in the same conversation as those robes, made in the same country, at a fraction of the price.
Design
Our studio sits in New Delhi, the same city the Indian luxury textile industry runs from. We work close to the looms, close to the cutters, close to the people who finish each piece by hand. That proximity is what lets us hold a luxury standard at a luxury-honest price.
Made In India
The cotton is grown in India, the waffle is woven in India, the cutting and finishing happen in India. Every piece carries an Antimony label, every piece is hand-checked before it leaves the studio. A short, traceable supply chain that we know personally.
For the Indian Climate
Indian summers are hot, monsoon mornings are humid, December nights are colder than people expect. The waffle weave is the textile that handles all three, breathable in summer, absorbent through monsoon, gently warming in winter. A robe for every month of the Indian year.
Care Guide
Machine wash cold with like colours. Avoid bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry in shade. A warm iron if you prefer a crisper collar. The cotton softens with every wash and grows kinder to the skin with the years.
FAQ
Yes, by every measure that matters, the cloth (premium cotton waffle, hotel-grade weight), the cut (deep shawl collar, mid-calf length, considered piping), the finishing (hand-checked before dispatch), and the supply chain (short, traceable, all in India). The only thing that is not luxury is the price, which we have held at ₹1,499 because we believe a good bathrobe should not require an import.
Most imported luxury bathrobes in India sit between ₹5,000 and ₹15,000 after duty. The cloth is often similar to ours, the cut is sometimes less considered for a woman's frame, and the supply chain is invisible. Ours is made in India in a hotel-grade waffle at a price that reflects honest local making.
